Nutsmail Webmail Services

Installation instructions for installing NutsMail on a Mac OSX snow leopard server has been added to our Knowledge Base. You can access it via the Support page. A special thanks to Tony Krzyzewski from Kaon Technologies for putting it together.

We have released a patch for all W2 themes. It's just a simple css patch that aligns the default logo on the left pane. If you want to update you can download it for the members section under /Patches/. Simply replace your existing /theme/css/ with the new css file.

We're moving offices, so I do apologise if our support is a little slower than usual. Hopefully we will be up and running again quickly. We will continue answering questions and fixing any issues but it will just be at a slower rate.

We have completed the squirrelmail 1.4.21 upgrades. You can now download the latest updates from your NutsMail account. If you have any trouble just let us know, we're always happy to help..

Squirrelmail has released v1.4.21. The squirrelmail team have said, "This is primarily a maintenance release which addresses a smattering of small issues and adds some fine-tuning of recent changes. It also closes two relatively low-risk security issues." You can read more about the new release from the squirrelmail website: www.squirrelmail.org

We will be adding the new squirrelmail version to all base packages this week. We will announce the changes when they are ready.

We have fixed some customer reported bugs including an IE fix that would crash a browser when trying to print an email. Below is a list of the updates:

fixed a print bug that would crash IE (all skins)
fixed a CSS bug in the default skin that affected IE

ITHEME:
fixed missing previous/next icons in message reading screen
created missing icons for message list screen (INBOX etc...)

It seems some emails were getting through if they were sent from Gmail which is the backend system we use to route our email to cerburus helpdesk. The problem seems to have come from a server upgrade which knocked out the mailparser. Everything seemed to be working except we were getting fewer tickets, which seemed odd. I thought, "Maybe it was just the summer holidays or something isn't working as it should". After many tests and reinstalling the php mailparser extension we finally resolved the problem. Again I apologise, please resend us any tickets we'll get back to you right away.

After completing the iTheme our next priority has been finalising the mobile squirrelmail skin. Ever since starting NutsMail in 2004 we have wanted to make a mobile friendly skin and we are finally making it a reality. We are basing the skin on the iTheme look. The skin will include most email functions you can find in any email client minus some of the advanced plugins.
